How I added more disk space with out any hassles or costing me an arm and a leg! Have you ever wondered who may be connected to your Windows computer shared folders…right now? If you have created shares to allow access to folders and files, you can easily view who is connected to each share and what files they have opened.
Knowing who is connected to your computer shared folders can be useful if you are on a public wireless network hopefully your firewall is blocking access or even when you are on your home wireless network. Since Computer Management console is included in XP and Windows 7 as well as Vista , and accessing it is the same in either version, the screen shots below are from Windows 7 unless noted otherwise. In either Windows XP or Windows 7, if you have the Computer icon on your desktop, just right click on it and select Manage.
Or in Windows 7 and Vista, you can click on Start and type computer in the search box, and click on the Computer Management link. Here you will see all the shares on your Computer and the number of connected users listed in the Client Connections column. As you can see on my computer, one user is connected to the Data share. To view "who" is connected to a share or shares, click on Sessions from left navigation pane. Another reason you may be having problems is if you changed the default installation directory; you cannot change the directory the stationery extracts to.
It may be easier for you just to reinstall the stationery and let it install to the default directory. If you installed your Windows to a drive other the the default "C" drive, the music will not play as the folder is in the wrong location! Finally, be sure you did not change the name of the mid sound file, or it will not work! Still having problems with sound? Question 4: W hy is it that when I type my email on your stationery the text writes over the picture? If you are not using the stationery as outlined on our help page, your margins will not be preset for you. Again we ask that you please visit our help page. Keep in mind that our QuickNotes! All Cloudeight stationery has preset margins. If using Windows Live, be sure you are installing the files for Windows Live. We just started providing stationery for Windows Live near the end of If you are sure you are sending correctly, but the recipient complains the text is covering the picture, then it means they are using an incompatible mail program.
We have seen this with WebTv users; if you still want to send them stationery, just have them highlight the text in the letter when it arrives, and click their tab key to move the writing off from the picture.
More on compatible mail programs can be found on Question 2 of FAQ. Advanced also known as Outlook Express version collection stationery is stationery exactly like the standard installation, except that it creates a new directory folder in which to install itself.
Only users of Outlook Express can use this feature. Each collection will be in its own folder for ease of selection in a new directory called "cloudeight. Quicknotes install to a folder called "quicknotes. The reason users of Outlook cannot use this feature is because they do not have the capability to browse when choosing a stationery. All of our collections are available as advanced install except for our Special Occasions, which are only available as individual downloads and our Mail List Members only "Occupations" Quicknotes 37 collection.
Vista Windows Mail users must download the correct file. We have updated several hundred stationery to work with Vista Windows Mail but we are only making full collection downloads for Vista. You must install the file for the full collection; individual stationery choices will not work.
We hope to have all collections updated for Vista within the year. Question 6: How do I uninstall your stationery? Each stationery consists of three parts, a jpg picture , a mid sound and the htm file web page-holds the scripting. Most all selections share a common prefix for easy identification.
Note: Quicknotes consist of two files only as they do not have music. Click here for a picture. Just highlight the stationery or folder you want to remove and click your delete button. When you install our stationery, it actually just places those files in the stationery directory for you.
No changes are made to your system, its registry, nor your mail program. Removing the files from the stationery directory completely removes all traces from your system. Still seeing a deleted stationery listed when you choose "New Message Using?
Many Microsoft programs show the "last" few things you used, as is the case with their mail programs too! If you have not tried our advanced install option, perhaps you would be interested as that option actually creates a separate folder for each collection. This makes it very easy to pick and choose, and if you do not want a collection you can simply delete its folder! If you want to delete part of a collection, it is much easier to do as well. Remember, only users of Outlook Express can use this feature. Question 7: I am using Vista Windows Mail. You must install the file specifically for Vista. If you try to install the advanced or standard version you will get the above error. Also, single stationery selections are not available for Vista; you must install the full collection.

It is only looking for the mid file the script does not understand the difference between a picture and a sound file. The recipient will receive the stationery fine, without the music, and no error messages.
If you are using plain Outlook, the sound does not work anyway, so you would not need to do this. Sound only works in Outlook Express.
Other options are: Chose View, when composing an email, and check Source Edit. Now you will see three tabs at the bottom of the mail you are writing. Click "Source" and edit out the coding for the music is always at the top and is easy to see which is the coding for music. Do not delete other things here or it will mess up that particular mail! Finally, don't forget our QuickNotes! They are non-scrolling and non-musical. Question When I install th e stationery, it says "3 files extracted"..

You cannot change the directory that it installs to automatically or you will get the error "one or more pictures cannot be found. If it is not where it is supposed to be, the error comes up. You can still send the stationery that way, and the recipients will not get the error; they will not get the sound either, though, as it cannot embed. If you installed your Windows to a drive other the the default "C" drive, you will get this warning, as the folder is in the wrong location! Finally, be sure you did not change the name of the mid sound file or jpg picture , or you will get this error!
Windows Live: Yes, you can move the single file that extracted to "Documents, My Stationery, Cloudeight" to any folder on your computer. Other Downloads: We warn on download pages and throughout our files that you cannot change directory or the stationery will not work. What will happen is you will get the warning "one or more pictures cannot be found" see Question If you don't care if sound is included, you can do this. Just be sure you move the htm with the jpg file so they stay in the same folder.
Note: You cannot rename stationery files or your stationery will not work! You may not even be able to see the picture! It is safe to move Quicknotes to a new folder since they do not have music. You may find this especially useful for a collection such as Quicknotes 37 "Occupations" collection. Many people find it useful to rename the Quicknotes collections to a name they are able to recognize. For example, you can rename the Quicknotes folder to any name you want, such as Quicknotes 32, which creates a folder called Quicknote Click here!
